Photo tip: seek n hide


One of the toughest challenges for wildlife photographers is getting in the right place at the right time, in order to optimise the chance of an unusual angle, a close-up behavioural shot or eye contact, an uncluttered background… or simply giving yourself the best opportunity to see the bird or animal you’d like to photograph.

Shenton Safaris in Zambia’s South Luangwa were among the first operators to establish hides for their guests, and they’re now used regularly by National Geographic, BBC and Discovery channel for numerous photographic shoots and the making of wildlife documentaries.
