Carrie Hampton went on holiday to Africa in 1995 and never left. Since then she’s clocked up personal visits to 230 safari lodges across southern and east Africa – more than anyone else in the world! “It happened by accident,” she says, after writing numerous safari coffee table and guide books. She adopted the irreverent name ‘Safari Tart’ for her anything-to-do-with-safari blog. If anyone can be labelled an ‘African safari expert’, it’s Carrie.
