Brian Jackman is a freelance journalist and author best known as Britain’s foremost writer on African wildlife safaris. His most popular book is The Marsh Lions, co-authored with Jonathan Scott and acclaimed as an African wildlife classic. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a trustee of the George Adamson Wildlife Preservation Trust and a patron of Tusk Trust. How many safaris has he been on? “I got to a hundred and lost count,” he says. He is married, with one daughter and two grandchildren, and lives in Dorset.
