Photograph taken: Mashatu Game Reserve, Northern Tuli, Botswana “We were out on a morning game drive in Mashatu, when we stumbled across a pack of wild dogs chasing a hyena. It was certainly a thrilling spectacle but the dogs never managed to kill the hyena as it found a small ravine on the riverbank and escaped.” Technical details: Nikon D4 / 240mm / ISO 800 / App 5.6 / Shutter 1 / 800 / -0.7
Photograph taken: Mashatu Block, Tuli, Botswana “While on an afternoon game drive with friends, we encountered a cheetah and her three cubs. As we watched the little family a hyena moved towards them. The expressions on the cheetahs’ faces as the hyena approached make this image interesting.” Technical info: Nikon D4S / 600mm / ISO 1000 / 1/1000s / E +0.7
Photograph taken: Chobe River, Botswana “While on a photographic boat we docked on the bank to watch a crocodile stalking doves. The croc would hover just under the water keeping out of site. A motorboat travelling on the river created a wake which exposed the reptile, making it appear to be surfing.” Technical info: Nikon D3S / 600mm / ISO 1600 / f8 / 1/1000s / E -1.0
